Dr. Krystyna Katz was born and raised in the Chicagoland area. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology: Natural Sciences, with a minor in Bioethics, from Loyola University Chicago. She then completed her optometric education at the University of Missouri–St. Louis College of Optometry, graduating with honors as a member of the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society, the profession’s highest recognition for leadership and service.
Dr. Katz is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality eye care and serving underserved communities. During optometry school, she organized weekend outreach events in partnership with St. Louis University Hospital to provide free eye exams for individuals in need. She also helped raise funds for Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (SVOSH) and participated in a mission trip to Haiti, where she provided eye care to underserved populations. She looks forward to future mission opportunities and remains dedicated to giving back to her local community.
Dr. Katz has a special interest in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of dry eye disease. Her passion for helping patients with dry eye developed during a clinical rotation in St. Louis, where she gained extensive experience managing complex cases alongside leading dry eye specialists. She is committed to incorporating the latest advancements and technology into her practice to provide personalized, effective treatment. Her goal is to help patients achieve lasting relief by addressing the root causes of their symptoms while improving both comfort and quality of life.
Known for her warm and patient-centered approach, Dr. Katz enjoys building meaningful relationships with her patients and helping them achieve their best possible vision and eye health.
Dr. Katz resides in Naperville with her husband, Aric, and their three children, Everleigh, Mason, and Camden. She loves traveling, staying active, reading, exploring new restaurants and coffee shops, and trying out new recipes in the kitchen.
