Rina Sheth, O.D.

Dr. Rina Sheth was raised in Elgin, Illinois, and graduated from Burlington Central High School. She went on to attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she graduated with honors in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Spanish. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO) and went on to complete an ocular disease residency at the Cleveland VA Medical Center.

Dr. Sheth is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO), reflecting her commitment to staying current with the latest advancements, research, and innovations in eye care. She has extensive training in ocular disease, primary and family eye care, emergency care triage, and contact lenses. She provides comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages, with special interests in advanced dry eye disease and pediatric myopia management.

Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Sheth is passionate about giving back to her profession and community. She has served on several optometric committees and organizations, including the Illinois Optometric Association (IOA), Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH), and the Chicago Illini Club. Throughout her career, she has received numerous national and statewide awards and honors and is a member of the prestigious Gold Key and Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Societies.

Dr. Sheth lives in Chicago with her husband, their three-year-old son and newborn daughter. Outside of the office, she enjoys baking, staying active, discovering new restaurants, and spending time with her growing family. She has a particular love for all things chocolate and an adventurous spirit when it comes to travel, having visited more than 35 countries and 32 states.
