Our most common cases are conjunctivitis (pink eye), foreign body
removals, dry eyes, ocular allergies, cataracts, vitreous detachments,
chalazions (styes) and contact lens related bacterial infections.
Less common cases include retinal detachments, herpes simplex infections
of the eye, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and tumors/cancer of the eyes or eyelids.
Comprehensive eye exams are recommended every year for every age group. You should be seen more frequently if you have uncontrolled diabetes or hypertension, are on certain heart medicines or steroids, or are being treated for a chronic eye condition such as glaucoma. Certain conditions require very careful monitoring, and patients should call our office or emergency number if they have any questions regarding sudden changes in their vision.
We take Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois (no HMO’s), Cigna, Aetna, United Health Care, and VSP (Vision Service Plan). We give 20% discounts (exam services only) for prompt/pay no insurance patients, and give even larger discounts (exam services only) for first-time kindergarteners who have never been to our practice before.
If you would like to discuss eye diseases with an eye care specialist, click on “Ask the Doctor” or to schedule an examination, call our Naperville office at (630) 357-3511 or our Downers Grove office at (630) 969-3268.
