Keratoconus is a hereditary condition where the patient’s cornea is
steeper and thinner than normal. This chronic condition can worsen
with age and usually results in poor visual acuity.

Sometimes, glasses or traditional contact lenses, cannot give patients
with keratoconus acceptable vision.

Although there is no cure for keratoconus, our doctors can properly
diagnose keratoconus with a corneal mapping instrument called a
“corneal topographer.” Then, we can use “Synergeyes” hybrid
contact lenses or Rigid Gas Permeable contact lenses to give these
patients the best possible vision and comfort they deserve.
